The 2019 Coln St Aldwyns Fete and Produce show will be held on Saturday 31st August in the Mill House.

COLN FETE NEEDS YOU!

The 2019 Coln St Aldwyns Children’s Fete & Produce Show, sponsored by Cotswold Airport, is confirmed for Saturday 31 August in The Mill House gardens, beginning with a BBQ lunch at 12.30pm, but there’s lots to do if we’re to have another successful year fund-raising for local children’s charities and activities – so, please help us. We’re looking for tombola prizes; donations for the silent auction (last year’s included everything from a microlight flight, a stay at a holiday cottage, and someone promising two mornings of ironing!); and along with your books we want your fashionable cast-offs, for our popular Fashion Stall for men and women. Email us oncolnfunday@gmail.com or phone on 01285 750 675 and we’ll be happy to pop round and collect anything. And, most of all, we need helping hands, both beforehand and on the day – again, email us or phone if you’re happy to volunteer.

PS Stay up to date with fete news on our website – www.colnfunday.com and please tell your friends about our new Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/coln.fete

SAVE THE DATE !

The Coln St Aldwyns Children’s Fete & CHEQS Produce Show is now confirmed for Saturday 31 Augustand once again, by kind permission of Earl St Aldwyn, it will be held in the beautiful grounds of The Mill House, beginning with a BBQ lunch at 12.30pm and running through the afternoon with lots of children’s games and entertainment, live music from Josie & The Outlaws, stalls, afternoon teas, and a Pimm’s bar. The children’s activities are FREE as our twin aims are to make it a fabulous fun day out for children and their families and to raise lots of money for local children’s charities. Last year’s fete made a record profit of more than £8,000 which we’ve spent on everything from Chrome Books for Hatherop Primary to new programmes at Quenington Brownies. A full list of the many local organisations we have supported – and how to apply for a grant – is on our websitewww.colnfunday.com. That’s the place, too, to stay up to date with fete news. If you want to help on the day or if you’ve got books, gifts or nearly new clothes for our stalls then please and email us at colnfunday@gmail.com.
